Marketing Tips to Attract More Customers

The average coffee shop will simply work themselves to the ground to attract more customers. But if you really want to be more than just the average coffee shop, you have to be willing to do more. This doesn’t just mean adding new beverages, trying new coffee syrups or expanding your menu. It also means you have to up your game when it comes to your marketing efforts. With more ways to impress your customers, the more they will return to you and tell their friends too. When it comes to serving the best coffee in town, word of mouth is the most reliable form of marketing. In order to promote word of mouth marketing to your customers, you need to make them want to promote you. How? Here are 4 ways to keep your customers coming back.

  1. Give out free coffee
Who doesn’t like free coffee? Every coffee shop should always have some form of freebie, especially to those who keep coming back to them. Giving out coffee for free is one way to show your customers that you appreciate them. You can schedule one every 3 hours or so and make rounds during that time. Otherwise, you can personally count each person’s purchases to see if any of them qualify for free coffee. That may be a little calculative, but if you really want to make your loyal customers happy, you will take the time. Create a schedule or make it random, that way, they won’t be able to catch on to when you’re giving the free coffee.

  1. Give out free snacks
But it shouldn’t just be the coffee as well. You could also give out free snacks. Small, little pastries or snacks can help each customer while they drink to their delight. Give out free snacks on schedule as well. They don’t have to be gourmet food, they could just be any simple, easy-to-make snack that any coffee lover would appreciate.

  1. Be up to date with the latest news
Being up to date with everything going around the town is important so you can participate in their activities. For example, if the town is holding some kind of celebration, you should also participate. Events and occasions like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just a few of the celebrations that you should never miss. Do something creative on those days. People will remember it and they’ll keep coming back to see what you’re going to do differently the next year.

  1. Offer entertainment
Some people don’t go to coffee shops for work, school or meetings. Others go there to relax a little. Give them something to make them relax. Offer live music once in awhile. Get some soft, relaxing music on board. Put up a wide screen somewhere and play a few movies every few hours. Good entertainment always equal loyal customers.

If you’re already limited by the budget you have, it might seem a little more annoying that you also have to choose exactly what you want for your store. To help you choose the colors you’ll need, here’s a short guide to help you out.

  1. Black
This color is always a good choice. Black is easy to pair with other outfits and it’ll be easy to sell because it provide a contradicting color to all other colors. However, you have to be careful when you choose this color. If you fill up your store with all black, you could end up with a dull display. It’s best if you choose black for common types of shoes like boots and pumps.

  1. White
Just because you’re getting black for common shoes doesn’t mean you can get white as well. In fact, white is not a very sellable color. A few years back, white was unusual and it can give any outfit a good boost to looking sophisticated and elegant. But today, white is a little bland and boring unless you can find something contradicting to wear it with (like jeans). Limit the shoes you buy in this color.

  1. Nude or cream
Do you know what replaced white in the sophisticated and elegant department? It’s nude color or cream. When you wear a pair of shoes in this color, it tends to blend with your natural skin color so it ends up boosting your outfit and highlighting your assets. However, there are some kinds of shoes that don’t particularly look good in nude color. For example, nude flip flops or sneakers are not exactly interesting. On the other hand, nude pumps make a perfect partner for formal and office wear.

  1. Red
Red is actually a successfully sellable color. You can easily sell a pair of red boots or high heels. But, you do have to keep watch of the shade of red. Not all shades of red make a good pair of shoes. Maroon can be quite eye-catching, but if worn with the wrong outfit, it tends to become bland and boring. Dark red is also quite tricky. Blooming red, on the other hand, is youthful and fresh so you can easily sell the color to young women.

  1. Blue
Blue is a tricky color. Blue is fun and funky. But not every girl is confident enough to wear blue shoes. Do buy blue shoes that are eye-catching and youthful. People love blue when it makes them look young.
